“I have had the pleasure of teaching Meghan Moore for the last four years. During that time her improvement has been exponential. I don’t think I’ve ever had a student who works as hard as Meghan does. Through the ups and downs of learning how to ride, her attitude has always been to learn and try to improve. I have never heard her blame anyone/thing for a mistake (horse, trainer, judge, weather etc.). She always owns a mistake and then works diligently to correct her errors. You will also never find a better team player. She is always extremely supportive of her fellow competitors and is equally gracious in success and failure. I think Meghan would be a great addition to any team.”

“There are so many words that come to mind when describing Meghan, but the two that stand out the most to me are work ethic and attitude.
Meghan’s work ethic is second to none. She has worked harder in her riding than any other junior student we have in our program. When she first came to us, she had just started jumping. Fast forward a few years and this last December she competed in her first 3’6 equitation medal! Meghan works at riding every time she sits on a horse. Her will and want for this sport are very well known.
That brings me to her attitude. Recently, her own horse had to have colic surgery. Despite the setback, Meghan came to the barn each day and rode any horse we could provide her with, always learning something new. The same attitude applies in the show ring. Even when teammates place ahead of her, Meghan is always there with a smile, congratulating and cheering them on. Meghan has never blamed her horse for anything in the show ring or at home, always giving him a pat and lots of love on the way back to the barn. She is very mature for her age, looking at herself and what she could do better next time in the ring.
I recently learned that Meghan volunteers at one of the therapeutic riding centers we have here in Colorado. It made me so happy to know that she spends her time helping others experience the same joy she does from riding.
We tell Meghan all the time how far she is going to go in life. She is extremely driven but with a soft side as well. She is truly an exemplary student and an admirable person. We are so
fortunate to have her in our program.”

“I had the privilege of teaching Meghan as a freshman in Biology I and as a junior in AP Environmental Science and Anatomy and Physiology. She stands out amongst her peers because of her positive attitude, ability to ask thought-provoking questions, and regularly engages in class discussions. Meghan is a highly motivated student who makes her education a priority and consistently submits her assignments in a timely manner. I admire her work ethic, her sense of curiosity, and the teamwork that she demonstrates when working in small groups. Meghan’s peers can count on her to produce high-quality work, and as her teacher, I expect that she will strive to exceed my expectations.”

“Meghan Moore is a unique and uniquely talented individual. She stands out in a classroom on account of her academic skills, determined effort, conscientiousness with her peers, collaboration with her instructor, honesty, and integrity. I teach Theology classes at Saint Mary’s Academy in Englewood, Colorado, and it is here in my classroom that I have had the privilege of witnessing Meghan not only engage with the academic material but honestly consider her own life experience in light of the philosophical principles we discuss. It is this integrity and ability at self-analysis that I am convinced makes her both a top-notch student and an excellent competitor.
In short, Meghan is a mature and thoughtful student and person. Though I am not an equestrian myself, I can say with total confidence that Meghan has the composure, brilliance, flexibility, determination, and grace to excel on horseback just as she does in life. I cannot but highly recommend Meghan to you.”
